Niall,

You might want to look around on ebay. I bought my press about a year ago for US$300.00. Of course it is used and not as pretty as a brandnew one but it works like a charm. Shipping/import to Europe might be an issue, though...

Best,

Niall, Muskeder,

whatever you do don?t forgett about the 110 V vs 220 V issue !!

A step down with 3000 Watts power costs a fortune and weighs up to 90 KG.

It is important that your press can be set to 220V.

This will unfortunately eliminate most nice price offers from inside the US.

I think there is a duty on American goods comming into Europe!

I don't know about second handgoods though! it might not be an issue!!

I usually buy most of my photography stuff on Ebay ,Germany1 The prices are usually good!!

What's the German for Dry mount press!

Hello Nial,

the german for dry mount press is: "Aufziehpresse" but maybe you could find some under "Presse zu aufziehen von Bilder" ( Press to mount pictures... )

hi Niall,

FYI, there's a hefty import duty on goods imported to the UK from the US. (more than 20%)

This also applies to second hand goods bought from a dealer through ebay, if its' value is properly declared on the package, I got stung by this myself.

regards

Christoph
